I have never played guitar in my life but I’ve decided to take lessons because it does sound quite beautiful. Is it a difficult instrument to play? How long will it take me to reach Grade 5 or 6?

Im giving guitar lessons, and I recently have a new student who is the youngest ive had, hes in 2nd grade, and hes learning fine, but it seems he is not having fun while doing so. Im use to older students, and im trying to figure out how to make the lessons enjoyable for the youngster. Any ideas from musicians who teach or know anything about this? I have lessons with him again tomorrow (tuesday). Any tips on fun things to teach or any good techniques would be greatly appreciated.

Is there some kind of computer guitar lessons where you plug your guitar into your computer and it tells you if you are doing it right?

i’ve been wanting to play guitar, for a while now & i don’t know if i wanna take lessons or if i should just learn on my own. I was thinking about just going to guitar lessons for the basics, and just learn from there. but iam still not sure.

I have had private tuition but it is working out too expensive so thought I would take the on-line route.
There are so many sites to choose from.
I don’t mind paying a subscription if the lessons are good.
Any ideas what one to choose?
